Internship at Teague

To give individuals with disabilities the freedom to fly comfortably and safely, without compromise; something that should’ve been done decades ago.

WHY

Design Opportunity

Lavatories in aviation aircrafts have been shrunken down beyond imagination, making it nearly impossible for individuals who have reduced mobility (wheelchairs), are blind/low vision, and neurodivergent to use the bathroom.

Terrible accidents that resulted in even death, have occurred due to the ridiculously unaccessible design of lavatories.

User Considerations

Designing for five key disability groups to create a lavatory experience that is intuitive, inclusive, and supportive for all passengers.

Create new concepts for three key lavatory features: flush control, grab-bars, and sinks, with the goal to integrate accessibility & aesthetics.
